About The Position

Shipping and receiving employees are responsible for interacting directly with internal and external customers, drivers, multiple WTL initiatives, including multiple warehouse locations. This role also ensures a high level of customer communication, all KPI (key performance indicators) are recorded and accurate, all shipping, receiving, ISO, and food safety documents and functions are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule all inbound and outbound shipments to comply with warehouse operations and capacities.
  • Assign inbound/outbound trailers to appropriate dock door.
  • Assist carrier truck drivers with paperwork and instructions.
  • Answer telephone, receive faxes, e-mail, and handle customer questions and issues or route to CSR
  • Receive customer orders via computer or fax and complete all order entry functions.
  • File and maintain all shipping and receiving documents in the proper record keeping location.
  • Coordinate internally and externally with customers to allocate and prioritize product to shipments.
  • Receive inbound and post outbound in WMS (warehouse management system) computer program.
  • Data entry in various computer applications for inventory control.
  • Print shipping labels and assemble shipping documents.
  • Complete all appropriate ISO documentation.
  • Performs any other tasks as assigned.
