About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring 98% on-time deliveries to customers by monitoring workflow from the start to the end of the shift. The schedule for this position is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 PM to 3:00 AM. Management reserves the right to adjust accountabilities and schedules to satisfy business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Allocates the workforce based on order flow and ensures both grocery and perishable trips are synced, alerting the supervisor to make staff movements to maintain on-time deliveries.
  • Monitors leave times and recognizes issues concerning loads, contacts selectors to provide solutions, and ensures loads are completed.
  • Collaborates with the supervisor regarding problems and potential setbacks with workflow to determine a solution and execute.
  • Prints tickets and verifies correct orders; determines immediate needs versus tickets pulled for later selection based on current cases per hour and leave times. Notes specific instructions with loads or products; recognizes concerns and prioritizes.
  • Monitors progress of direct and labeled tickets throughout the shift, and determines if the order of tickets needs to be adjusted; identifies difficult tickets to pick early thus avoiding potential overtime.
  • Responsible for Fast 9 orders: releasing work, printing tickets, and providing them to selectors to pick and deliver to specific internal locations; matching and coding handbills with signatures.
  • Monitors Souto Foods and specialty loads, prioritizes with a seasoned selector, and ensures instructions are followed.
  • Assigns selectors to tickets involving flowers, bananas, eggs, and nuts due to delicacy and requirements.
  • Identifies new selectors and third parties to ensure appropriate tickets are provided based on size and commodity.
  • Responsible for moving selectors between direct and indirect time based on the task performing, determining the amount of time to add to their production.
  • Ensures tickets are closed and proper indirect codes are used to allow supervisors to track movement and accurate productivity totals.
  • Troubleshoots issues with equipment such as scanners and T2s, and accounts for missing equipment at shift end.
  • Responsible for researching ‘scratches’ including checking pallets, inventory, and selector voice activity – if needed, communicates with dispatch to remove the item and avoid potential credits at delivery.
  • Communicates with lifts for let downs as needed, providing missing pallet numbers.
  • Tracks selector progress on tickets, monitors their breaks and lunches to determine discrepancies.
  • Provides handbills for Estes and Old Dominion drivers and instructions on pallets, doors, and product return.
  • Provides reporting to the Ops team on weekly selection totals and daily production reporting to supervisors.
  • Maintains new hire folders containing production percentages, total cases selected, and weekly goals.
