About The Position

The Shipping/Packer associate processes and packs all orders produced onsite according to company procedures and safety practices. The role also handles receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials. The associate uses company software to process orders, prepares customer shipments using UPS, FedEx, and LTL services, operates sit-down and stand-up forklifts, labels and moves materials, and helps maintain designated warehouse areas. The position is for the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; weekly overtime is currently being worked.

Requirements

• At least one year of shipping/receiving experience.
• Computer skills and the ability to use computers and related technology in a warehouse environment, including inventory systems and data-entry tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to stand and repeatedly use both hands.
• Constant awareness of surroundings.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good math skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Use company software to process each order.
• Package customer orders according to company standards using UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipping.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load outgoing materials and unload incoming materials.
• Label materials according to customer specifications.
• Move materials to new locations as needed.
• Follow safety practices and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Clean designated warehouse areas as needed.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
