About The Position
The Gund Company is hiring a Shipping & Packaging Specialist to join our team! If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy hands-on work, and want to grow with a company that values teamwork and employee development, this is the role for you. This role is for the 2nd shift, which runs from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and offers a starting pay of $20/hour plus a 15% shift premium.
Requirements
- Experience in shipping, packaging, or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read work orders and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
Nice To Haves
- Certified forklift operator
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package products for shipment according to customer specifications
- Review work orders, packing slips, and shipment details for accuracy
- Build boxes, crates, or skids using hand tools and equipment
- Operate forklift (if certified) and assist with loading/unloading trucks
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety standards
- Participate in cross-training to learn additional processes
