About The Position

Morton Industries is hiring for 1st shift Shipping Order Pullers! Morton offers: Low Insurance Premiums on Medical, Dental, and Vision Short Term and Long-Term Disability Hospital, Critical Illness, and Accident Coverages Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Company Paid Life Insurance 401K Match Paid Bereavement Essential Functions: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Determines method of shipment. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages. Routes items to departments. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates industrial truck or uses hand truck to load and unload vehicles, move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Process, print, and record all incoming and outgoing material. Expedite materials at outside vendors. Maintain inventory via computer. Store and retrieve materials. Complete work order cards. Deliver or pick-up materials from vendors. Coordinate efforts of other employee/duties in the area. All other duties as assigned Morton Industries, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
