About The Position

The Shipping Material Handler is responsible for preparing, organizing, and moving materials and products for shipment. This role ensures orders are picked accurately, packaged properly, and loaded efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1-year related experience required.
• Basic math and counting skills for order verification
• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred or willing to obtain)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company procedures
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets
• Move materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment
• Verify product quantities and inspect items for damage before shipping
• Label packages and complete shipping documentation accurately
• Maintain organization of shipping and staging areas
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment when needed
• Follow safety policies and proper handling procedures at all times
• Communicate with shipping supervisors and warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
