DEPARTMENT: Shipping JOB TITLE: 3 rd Shift Material Handler/Loader/Stock REPORTS TO: Shift Facilitator SHIFT DAYS /HOURS : 10 hr. shifts (Mon-Thurs) 9:00 pm- 7:00 am) Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary. What You Will Be Responsible For: Properly load trucks with the equipment provided. Load trucks in an efficient manner keeping in mind location of delivers and drivers route. Document everything that is put on truck on load sheet. Unload trucks, check, verify, ticket, and take material to the appropriate department. Use both Stock and Open order reports. Put away and Pull stock inventory. Locate and Pull stock in EPICS. Check (measure /Webster) when required material going to anodize. Band and ticket material going to outside vendors. Stack, stage, band on skids material waiting for shipment. Do all other receiving functions: Receive all incoming raw material and other supplies. Set up Packers with material & take packed material to shipping. Able to understand material handling techniques to package parts off CNC as necessary Participate in Continuous Improvement activities Work independently and as part of a team. Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor. Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems. Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation. Able to participate in a collaborative environment. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the bundles meet safety standards. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. Work Environment / Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning. What You Will Need: Preferred Experience operating an overhead crane. Preferred experience with forklifts and Combi-lift. HS Diploma/GED Must also pass a skills-based test. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented. Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
