Shipping Material Handler- 3rd Shift

About The Position

Properly load trucks with the equipment provided. Load trucks in an efficient manner keeping in mind location of delivers and drivers route. Document everything that is put on truck on load sheet. Unload trucks, check, verify, ticket, and take material to the appropriate department. Use both Stock and Open order reports. Put away and Pull stock inventory. Locate and Pull stock in EPICS. Check (measure /Webster) when required material going to anodize. Band and ticket material going to outside vendors. Stack, stage, band on skids material waiting for shipment. Do all other receiving functions: Receive all incoming raw material and other supplies. Set up Packers with material & take packed material to shipping. Able to understand material handling techniques to package parts off CNC as necessary Participate in Continuous Improvement activities Work independently and as part of a team. Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor. Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems. Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation. Able to participate in a collaborative environment. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the bundles meet safety standards. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Must also pass a skills-based test.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented.
  • Must pass a company background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Experience operating an overhead crane.
  • Preferred experience with forklifts and Combi-lift.
