About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing, packaging, documenting, and coordinating domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with company quality, safety, and customer requirements. This position plays a key role in supporting production schedules and customer satisfaction through efficient shipping operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of shipping and carrier systems, including UPS WorldShip and FedEx shipping platforms.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, work instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or related operations preferred.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage, package, and prepare materials, parts, and products for shipment according to production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Review work orders, shipping notices, bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and related documentation to prioritize and coordinate shipments.
  • Verify quantities, weights, dimensions, and part numbers to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Determine appropriate shipping methods and carriers based on destination, customer requirements, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Process domestic and international shipments using shipping software, including UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and other carrier systems as required.
  • Generate and apply shipping labels, packing slips, customs documentation, and related shipping records.
  • Package products using appropriate materials and methods to ensure safe transport and delivery.
  • Build, assemble, and repair shipping crates, pallets, and other shipping containers using wood and related materials.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility and shipping areas.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging, labeling, and compliance with customer and company requirements.
  • Provide support and cross-functional coverage for shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation in company systems.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and scope of the position.
