About The Position

This role is for a 2nd Shift Glass Production Load/Unload Associate in the Loading Department. The position is not open for submission from outside staffing agencies. The role involves transporting materials, including glass, to expedite the production process, attaching labels, performing quality inspections, conducting daily safety and equipment inspections, and following all safety policies. The associate will also need to understand the plant layout for proper product flow, perform different job functions, assist other departments when needed, and maintain an organized and clean work area.

Requirements

Able to read a tape measure accurately
Ability to lift 75lbs independently, 150 in tandem.
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to communicate and work in a team setting
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (heat, cold, humidity)
Basic math and computer skills
Committed to Safety work practices

Nice To Haves

Forklift and Crane experience a plus
High School Diploma or GED, preferred
Glass experience, a plus

Responsibilities

Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process
Read, understand, and attach appropriate labels and tags to product
Quality inspection of glass, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
Daily inspections - safety and equipment
Follow all safety policies and processes.
Understand layout of plant to ensure proper product flow
Perform different job functions and/or assist other departments when needed
Organize and clean area
