About The Position

Performs a variety of duties in the warehouse, with a primary focus on safely operating a forklift. This role involves loading and unloading finished goods for transport, inspecting trailers, hand stacking cases, delivering merchandise, and maintaining accurate order data. The position also includes cleaning warehouse areas, following safety rules, and potentially assisting with order pulling and inventory counts. The job requires stooping, bending, and participation in training and meetings as needed.

Requirements

High school plus additional training preferred.
Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
Ability to speak, read and write in English needed for job tasks.
Certified forklift operator.

Responsibilities

Completes Pre-Operational Checklist each day before operating lift and reports any forklift damage or malfunction to supervisor.
Operates forklift at a reasonable and prudent speed, watching closely for pedestrians or other motorized vehicles.
Operates forklift to load finished goods for transport to customers.
Inspects all trailers to meet SQF requirements before shipments are loaded.
Hand stacks cases of finished goods on pallet.
Operates forklift to deliver oldest code date finished goods to order picking area.
Maintains and reports accurately data for all orders loaded during each shift.
Delivers incoming merchandise received by the warehouse to the proper department.
Loads trucks, distributing weight on outgoing shipments and thoroughly inspecting all product for shipments as they are loaded.
Cleans floor of warehouse, trailers, loading docks, and exterior areas around warehouse, keeping the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Performs duties as an order puller of finished goods for shipments to the customer.
Operates forklift to unload various cargoes.
Operates forklift to rotate stock and deliver oldest code date of finished goods to order picking area.
Assists in counting finished goods for inventory and reports count to person recording inventory counts.
Stoops and bends in some job tasks.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written or verbal instructions from supervisor on above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor.
