About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role will lead and coordinate shipping operations to ensure safe, accurate, and on-time order fulfillment. The Shipping Lead will supervise and support team members, monitor loading activities, verify documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaboration with plant, dispatch, and logistics teams is key to optimizing workflow and meeting customer needs. The position also involves identifying process improvements and driving efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong knowledge of shipping, logistics, and inventory control practices to include rail operations
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, make sound decisions, and solve operational challenges under pressure
• Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and shifts
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in daily operations
• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check

Responsibilities
