Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated strong management skills and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals
  • Ability to direct others to complete tasks efficiently and safely
  • Strong focus on positive work culture and employee engagement
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent work ethic, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be able to learn quickly and multitask

Responsibilities

  • Leads rebar/merchant bar straightening, shearing, loading activities, and inventory control
  • Responsible for rebar processing, shearing, truck/rail loading, and inventory management
  • Actively participate and assist in leading team with CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture (Take 2, Observation Cards and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Audit, manage and improve material throughput
  • Plans departmental work schedule and production sequences to meet production schedules and sales needs
  • Monitors production levels on a continuous basis to insure employees are productive and striving to meet production schedules
  • Works with other supervisors to coordinate production activities within or between departments
  • Works in SAP to transfer material and produce shipping documents ensure proper shipping practices
  • Observes ongoing production activities to insure lean and industry production methods are used
  • Makes sure quality assurance and customer requirements meet industry and customer standards
  • Must be able to establish departmental goals, both financial and non-financial, with clear work plans
  • Enforces all company policies including safety and government safety regulations
