About The Position

This role is responsible for staging, loading, and unloading raw materials in designated areas and flow racks. The operator will ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks, accurate verification of off-loaded materials, and prompt submission of paperwork. They will also stage and put away conforming raw materials inspected by QC, complete daily inspection sheets, and operate within standard operating procedures and safety policies. Communication with other shifts, maintaining good housekeeping (5S), and locking out equipment when not in use are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves providing on-the-job training to new employees, cross-training in other receiving area positions, and assisting as needed.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Detail Oriented
Forklift Operator Certification
Good Organizational Skills
Good Communication Skills
Exhibit a professional demeanor
Must be able to follow directions given by superior.
Will be asked to cross train in order to fill vacant positions as needed.

Responsibilities

Load and unload raw materials from truck in a timely manner.
Verify what you have off-loaded and submit proper paperwork to receiving clerks promptly.
Stage and put up conforming raw materials that QC has inspected in designated areas and flow racks.
Complete daily inspection sheets.
Operate within standard operating procedures and our safety procedure and policies.
Communicate with operators from other shifts.
Maintain good housekeeping (5S).
Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Cross train to learn other positions in the receiving area and assist in those positions as needed.
