About The Position

This position is responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer service through proper shipping procedures, effective communication, and adherence to safety practices. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, managing product transfers, determining optimal shipping methods, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. The associate will utilize basic computer and math skills, manage workload efficiently, and handle heavy objects. Key tasks include reading packing slips, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintaining a clean work environment. The schedule for this position is 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate motor vehicle, forklift, barcode reader, currently used hardware and software.
  • Stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Activities occur inside and outside.
  • Warehouse duties with safety practices and standards.
  • Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Separate transfers and load them onto respective trucks.
  • Determine best shipping method for products according to company policy.
  • Locate transfers to complete orders and place them on the corresponding trucks.
  • Ensure that products and orders are placed on the correct trucks for delivery.
  • Use basic computer and math skills to determine shipping locations and quantities.
  • Manage time in order to complete work load for the day.
  • Move and lift heavy objects from one location to another.
  • Read and decipher packing slips, computer screens and barcode readers.
  • Practice team work in order to best service internal and external customers.
  • Assist warehouse personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Operate fork trucks and/or platform lifts in order to safely and effectively move product within the warehouse.
  • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, etc.
  • Remain up-to-date on all safety practices and standards.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.
