About The Position

This position reports to the Logistics Manager and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties. The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, preparing shipping documentation, scheduling transportation, maintaining shipping records, and ensuring the on-time delivery of products to customers. This role works closely with Logistics, Customer Service, Production, and Transportation providers to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Completion of Information Security Training required.
Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field desired.
1–3 years of shipping, logistics, customer service, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Experience in creating shipping documentation and working with transportation carriers preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and process packing slips, bills of lading, ASNs, and shipping documentation.
Coordinate outbound shipments with approved carriers.
Schedule pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems and carrier portals.
Generate and apply customer-specific barcode labels.
Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays.
Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory transaction documentation.
Collaborate with Customer Service regarding order status, shipment schedules, and customer requirements.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and shipping processes.
Support inventory accuracy through system transactions and shipment verification.
Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, shortages, or documentation issues.
Assist with any assigned 5S & LEAN housekeeping initiatives.
Perform any additional duties that may be assigned and are logically and properly inherent to this position.
