About The Position

If you are a Shipping Coordinator professional looking to grow your career, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based at our Sidney, OH location, you will play a key role in supporting the Centrifugal Laboratories and engineering project assignments. Your responsibilities will include handling and staging parts, updating records, verifying stock levels, coordinating shipments, and performing related tasks that contribute to the development of innovative compressor technologies for HVACR customers. You will collaborate closely with peers and engineering partners to ensure timely and accurate material flow, while also supporting shipping and receiving activities. Additionally, you will participate in Safety, 5S, and continuous improvement practices to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, plus 1+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to make deliveries using company vehicles.
  • Tow motor experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

  • Material handling experience.
  • Refrigerant handling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all corporate and laboratory safety standards and EPA regulations.
  • Move compressors, parts, and hardware between work areas and storage locations.
  • Maintain and organize storage equipment, areas, and workspaces.
  • Prepare and ship compressors and hardware to domestic and international destinations.
  • Assist with refrigerant processing in the lab.
  • Operate vertical lift storage systems for adding/removing components.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stage parts per engineering requests.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including fork trucks, lifts, and manual tools.
  • Create or update spreadsheets, analyze inventory records, request part orders, and maintain stock levels.
  • Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and performing tasks related to assembly, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding parts, hardware, and compressors.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to support lab operations and workflow.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support engineering labs.
