About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing daily shipping operations in a fast-paced job shop environment. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, and shipment coordination while supporting team operations and stepping in for the Shipping Lead as needed. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, precision-manufactured metal products within the power industry.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience managing or supporting inventory systems (ERP experience preferred)
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
Ability to perform physical work, including loading/unloading materials
Commitment to following established processes and procedures

Nice To Haves

Experience with Made2Manage (M2M) or similar ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, or other business software
Job shop or manufacturing environment experience
DOT Certification (active or ability to obtain)
High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage daily shipping activities
Pack products for shipment according to customer orders
Prepare and stage shipments based on pick lists and back orders
Load and unload trucks using a forklift and pallet jack
Maintain accurate inventory within the ERP system (Made2Manage preferred)
Assist with and support inventory control processes
Organize jobs, materials, and resources to support daily operations
Maintain logs for ordering and replenishing packing materials; coordinate with purchasing
Support and back up the Shipping Lead as needed, including supervising daily operations
Ensure all processes and procedures are followed accurately and consistently
