About The Position

Are you the type of person who has an eye for detail and enjoys seeing the impact of your work every day? In this role you will coordinate details around shipping completed machines and parts to our customers around the world. We’re looking for excellent fork truck skills and process-minded individuals to be a part of our shipping and logistics team.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of Vermeer forklift certification as required for the work location.
  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to perform problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.
  • Able to prioritize the daily workload and work independently and as a team.
  • Experience loading over width equipment.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Vermeer Forklift Operators License within the first two weeks.
  • Vermeer Hoist Training.
  • Vermeer Hazmat Training.
  • General Awareness/knowledge of D.O.T regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of production-related experience preferred.
  • Experience running Vermeer equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use proper equipment to load and unload whole goods from containers on domestic trucks. Transport whole goods from staging to finish areas for future loading for delivery.
  • Verify all loaded equipment and parts match the load sheet and all extra pieces/accessories are documented and accounted for.
  • Ensure machine is approved for shipment, including an approval tag, checking for signs of obvious damage, fault codes, and signs of malfunction.
  • Document all inbound and outbound loads via pictures, capturing serial tags, gaps/spacing, and every piece that is found on the load.
  • Check conditions of trailers/containers to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures, and to ensure safe loading/unloading of products.
  • Secure equipment/parts into intermodal shipping containers as outlined in the international shipping manual.
