About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator II performs duties involving billing, routing, production scheduling activities, along with the tracking of trucking equipment on the yard and the coordination of finished product deliveries. This position will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Litchfield Park, AZ .

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years related experience.
• Shipping/logistics work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrates ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
• Experience involving billing, routing, production scheduling activities, tracking of trucking equipment and the coordination of finished product deliveries.
• Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Self-motivated requiring minimal direct supervision.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills may supplement above minimum job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assures orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents, while assisting in resolving discrepancies.
• Verifies the bills of lading are received from shipping department and ensures that all invoices have been distributed to proper location.
• Arranges for movement of freight to consignee/agent & updates the system with information.
• Notifies consignee of shipment arrival and coordinates shipment information to other offices and/or agents.
• Traces shipments of product and materials with trucking companies.
• Initiates, answers & documents tracer inquiries when requested via email and/or fax.
• Enters data pertaining to domestic and international shipments into the company ERP system and into the shipping systems of commercial freight carriers.
• Maintains all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities in warehouse management systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
