About The Position

We currently have an immediate opening for a Shipping Clerk in our facility in Monticello, Indiana. In this role, you will pull, pack, and ship sales orders to our customers, making sure every shipment leaves accurate, on time, and ready for the road.

Requirements

  • Shipping, warehouse, or distribution experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • A proven track record of dependability and punctuality - excellent attendance is essential
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, sales orders, and shipping documents in English
  • Basic computer skills for order processing and carrier shipping systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing, and verifying orders
  • Willingness and ability to be trained and certified to operate a forklift and pallet jack
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 9 hours per day)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to bend, reach, and carry throughout the shift
  • Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work efficiently
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team environment
  • Commitment to safe work practices in a warehouse and shipping environment

Responsibilities

  • Pulling product from inventory to fill customer sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Packing orders securely for domestic and international shipment, selecting appropriate cartons and packing materials
  • Processing shipments through carrier and freight systems, including small parcel and LTL freight
  • Generating and applying shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required shipping paperwork
  • Verifying orders against paperwork - part numbers, quantities, and customer requirements - before shipment
  • Building, wrapping, staging, and loading pallets for outbound freight
  • Operating a forklift and pallet jack to move, stage, and load product (training and certification provided)
  • Receiving inbound shipments, verifying contents against packing slips, and putting away stock
  • Tracking materials and products for inventory purposes, including cycle counts and physical inventory support
  • Completing shipping documentation and order records accurately and on time
  • Keeping the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and safe
  • Performing other duties as needed within the shipping and receiving department

Benefits

  • Starting wage of $16.00 per hour
  • Four nine-hour days plus a half day - Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
