About The Position

The clerk will be primarily responsible for the assembly of orders, the preparation of products for shipment, preparation of bills of lading, and data entry into Citros. Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, large ERP applications.
  • Proficiency with basic mathematics skills.
  • Organizing priorities and staying on task is a must
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends.
  • High School diploma is a must.
  • Two years clerical experience in shipping/receiving is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Post high school course work in a computer, business, or materials related management field is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare bills of lading for each as needed basis.
  • Shipment and check and record all items loaded for shipment.
  • Post shipments to customer orders and calculate balance yet to be shipped.
  • Upon completion of shipment close out orders and upload them to the portal and forward documents to customers.
  • Maintain shipping records such as goods returned, returnable pallets.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of shipping materials is always on hand.
  • Monitor tanker arrivals and coordinate customer delivery schedules with logistics manager and tank farm manager.
  • Enter essential data into Citros system.
  • Assist Visalia plant as needed.
  • Assist production clerical team with data entry input as needed.
  • Follow all food safety, work related safety/GMP and HACCP practices as defined by Ventura coastal, LLC.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality and a professional attitude always.
  • Act with professional courtesy to all customers, visitors and guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
