About The Position
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Shipping Clerk will perform some, or all of the various duties and tasks related to the Shipping Department.
Requirements
- Proficient in basic computer applications.
- Basic mathematical ability.
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (30 to 50 pounds in weight).
- Problem-solver who can think quantitatively and notice defects and errors quickly.
- Using a high level of attention to detail/detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills and can work as a team member with a wide variety of people in the supply chain.
- High School Diploma, or GED.
Responsibilities
- Pack orders and prepare them to be shipped.
- Inspection of items to ensure there is no damage nor missing parts.
- Packing goods according to specifications and transporting them to shipping dock area.
- Track all orders to ensure inventory is accurately recorded.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
- Other related duties as assigned.
