About The Position

Under the direction of the Distribution Supervisor with guidance from the Warehouse Lead, the Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing orders (shippable by small package carriers) for shipping. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Good math skills.
  • Use of appropriate PPE.
  • Prior forklift experience.
  • 6 months prior shipping experience.
  • Ability to work overtime and on weekends when properly notified to meet the needs of the customer.

Nice To Haves

  • Pack and prepare orders according to customer specifications.
  • Ability to verify product pulled (product, qty, etc).
  • Ability to use ERP system to process orders.

Responsibilities

  • Verify quantities and product against packing slips.
  • Use of ERP system to process orders.
  • Prepare and ship orders according to specifications on customer orders.
  • Use and interpret bin locator and date code systems.
  • Able to use TRAX order entry system.
  • Operate shipping equipment (taper, etc).
  • Obtain product knowledge.
  • Coordinate approved freight companies for pickups, if applicable.
  • Use of forklift, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
