Requirements

Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.
Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Time management skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under supervision with a high attention to detail
Effective oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to work outside of a typical work schedule

Responsibilities

Check in any freight in shipping office
Create labels for mail packets
Scan to truck
Check SOA’s and convert to route
Run bills / create driver packets: Bills go on trailers, Driver packets go in driver’s room
Page for outs
Issue resolution up to and including Retailer communications, updating the “blowout report” for the CSR
Coordinate with traffic to merge CPO freight onto regular routes
End of day Print and generate Traffic Reports such as FLR, Shipment Planner, Loader Packets, Pallet Power Jacket assignment tracking.
Prepare BOLs of cross-dock trailers which would include make copies of backhaul paperwork for backhaul coordinator, review seal and trailer information for each cross-dock packet and place in driver’s room.
Close and research tasks such as Chase fill and hand load chase product of tail of trailer, to secure, lock, and close shipments
Organize driver paperwork from BOLs, pay sheets, loader feedback documents
