Requirements

  • Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.
  • Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under supervision with a high attention to detail
  • Effective oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work outside of a typical work schedule

Responsibilities

  • Check in any freight in shipping office
  • Create labels for mail packets
  • Scan to truck
  • Check SOA’s and convert to route
  • Run bills / create driver packets: Bills go on trailers, Driver packets go in driver’s room
  • Page for outs
  • Issue resolution up to and including Retailer communications, updating the “blowout report” for the CSR
  • Coordinate with traffic to merge CPO freight onto regular routes
  • End of day Print and generate Traffic Reports such as FLR, Shipment Planner, Loader Packets, Pallet Power Jacket assignment tracking.
  • Prepare BOLs of cross-dock trailers which would include make copies of backhaul paperwork for backhaul coordinator, review seal and trailer information for each cross-dock packet and place in driver’s room.
  • Close and research tasks such as Chase fill and hand load chase product of tail of trailer, to secure, lock, and close shipments
  • Organize driver paperwork from BOLs, pay sheets, loader feedback documents
