About The Position

Assemble, label and package orders for shipment to customers based upon current shipping systems being used. Keep warehouse area neat and orderly. Maintain a current valid certification for forklift use. May work with other areas or departments as needed or as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to read, write and speak simple sentences in English.
• Regularly required to use hands; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the use of a hand truck or up to 500 pounds with the use of a pallet jack.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
• Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Is consistently at work and on time.
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
• Asks for and offers help when needed.
