About The Position

As Shipping Clerk specializing in receiving inspections, you will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming aerospace components and materials meet the required quality and safety standards. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our aerospace manufacturing process and guaranteeing the satisfaction of our customers. You will be responsible for packaging and unpackaging a variety of sensitive products and materials. In addition, the position is required to assist with other miscellaneous tasks related to the movement of material within the company and inventory control.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Adhere to all Southeast Aerospace company policies, safety guidelines, and code of ethical conduct
• Acceptable background check for required matters
• Required - Lawful US Person as defined in FAR 22CFR 120.15 for required matters.
• Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• All employees are subject to DOT/FAA pre-hire, random and for cause drug and alcohol tests

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in order processing, materials handling and distribution is preferred

Responsibilities

• Pack and unpack shipments and of aerospace components, materials, and products.
• Conduct thorough inspections of all items to ensure they meet established quality and safety standards.
• Verify quantities and inspect for any visible damage or discrepancies.
• Accurately record inspection results and maintain detailed inspection records and reports.
• Create and maintain organized, up-to-date records of received materials and components.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve any discrepancies, damaged items, or quality issues.
• Must be able to quickly move from one department and building to another to deliver and pickup Items.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the receiving area and warehouse.
• Monitor and report on inventory levels and any potential shortages.
• Participate in quality control activities and assist with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report any non-conformance or quality concerns to the relevant teams.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and industry regulations in receiving and handling aerospace materials.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
• Keep work area and associated tools and equipment clean and organized
• Inspect, package, document, label and finalize outgoing shipments per training and instructions given by the Shipping and Receiving Manager
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers, carriers, vendors and other employees
• Adhere to all Southeast Aerospace company policies and guidelines
