About The Position

RAF Electronic Hardware is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate II to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying incoming materials, preparing products for shipment, coordinating documentation, and ensuring customer orders are packaged and shipped accurately according to specifications and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possess strong organizational skills, and have experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material-handling equipment.
  • Understanding of logistics, freight carriers, shipping processes, and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret packing lists, purchase orders, work orders, and shipping documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within inventory and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with employees across multiple departments.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to safely grasp, handle, assemble, move, and package products and materials.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling, packaging, labeling, and moving materials.
  • Frequently lift, move, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus for inspecting materials, reading documentation, and verifying labels.
  • Must be able to safely work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Syteline or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and match jobs and purchase orders to incoming materials received from carriers, platers, and brokers.
  • Route materials to Quality for inspection when required.
  • Transfer accepted materials from Quality to the shipping area.
  • Review order due dates in Syteline and determine shipment priorities.
  • Locate and manage inventory for future shipments and multiple release orders.
  • Pre-package products in appropriate quantities when required.
  • Review work orders and job travelers for packaging instructions, special requests, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and package materials for outside processing and coordinate documentation with Purchasing.
  • Obtain and organize required certifications, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
  • Print and process pick lists while ensuring compliance with customer packaging specifications.
  • Package products in appropriate containers and label shipments accurately.
  • Complete shipping paperwork and maintain accurate shipment records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
