About The Position

Responsible for the handling and processing of warehouse work orders, purchase orders, and sales orders; transporting inventory; and maintaining stock in warehouse. This position operates a powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload and load trucks. It also fills and transacts work orders, purchase orders, or sales orders, and performs quality checks on stock items to report defects or damage. The role requires compliance with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System, and following detailed instructions, processes, and procedures. The employee must report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to the Warehouse Supervisor and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
Forklift Certification (required).
Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; and grip with hand or fingers.
Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.; push or pull; sit; bend or twist; stoop or crouch; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension; activate foot control.
Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100lbs.; stand; walk; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; use upper extremities.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with occasional accurate depth perception and distance viewing.
Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance.
Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech.

6 months or more experience working in shipping or receiving (preferred).
