About The Position

Shipping Assistant is responsible for the safety, quality, and production of receiving, shipping, and maintaining materials used to produce the finest sporting good products while working in a safe organized environment in the Distribution Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of distribution warehouse experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able to multi-task and work under time constraints in high pressure situations
  • Ability to read and understand pick slips
  • Ability to problem solve shipping orders with several variables
  • Ability to apply basic math concepts

  • Demonstrate reliability and dependability
  • Working knowledge and experience using office equipment including computers phones, copies, printers, and scanners
  • Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • E1 – Enterprise One experience preferred
  • Experience printing labels and tracking shipments in shipping manager applications

Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc in compliance with all safety standards
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Move material and equipment between locations in DC and facility.
  • Store material in a neat and organized manner
  • Pull orders accurately in accordance with the pick slips while determining total weight and cartons.
  • Notify Supervisor of any International Picks accordingly.
  • Notify Supervisor of any picks from National accounts after determining total cartons and weight.
  • Communicate with delivery truck company personnel regarding pickup and delivery of shipments
  • Package orders for shipment according to Pick.
  • Process all orders for shipping via small parcels, FedEx, UPS, and large carrier Including replenishing UCC 128 shipping labels, wax ribbons.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on UCC 128 printers.
  • Obtain all required documentation on all International Shipments.
  • Ship special request orders
  • Locate and arrange inventory in correct inventory storage area in an organized manner
  • Receive, document, enter work orders, and daily inventory items from Production including Quality audit checks per BOM 1 per order
  • Package work orders from production accordingly
  • Reclassify inventory from production
  • Receive in packing slips and/or purchase orders as needed
  • Pull orders accurately in accordance with the pick slips
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Monitor and maintain shipping supply levels and report low inventory levels to trigger reorders
  • Complete weekly inventory counts on Raw material and finished goods within DC
  • Maintain required levels of material at production use points. (Box prep, t-ball combo pack)
  • Respond to email correspondences
