About The Position
Maintain the shipping/receiving department to assure all inbound and outbound material, products and packaging are unloaded/ loaded, stored, shipped and recorded to meet internal and customer specifications.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Competency in reading, writing and basic math.
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Passing grade on Power Industrial Truck test.
Nice To Haves
- One to three years operator experience desirable.
Responsibilities
- Unload all incoming materials, supplies and packaging, as necessary.
- Inspect all incoming freight and documentation for accuracy and acceptability.
- Complete required receiving documentation accurately and timely.
- Generate NCMR for nonconforming material from suppliers and notify quality department.
- Store all materials, supplies and packaging in proper locations.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight pickups/deliveries with freight companies.
- Pull outbound product and stage no less than 30 minutes prior to shipment.
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation accurately and timely.
- Load outbound products, as necessary.
- Communicate any product shortage potentials to Customer Service and Operations prior to missed shipments.
- Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.
- Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
