CL&D is seeking a Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Clerk to accurately process orders for shipment as well as receive materials against purchase orders. The position reports to the Shift Supervisor. The responsibilities include preparing items for shipment, accurately verifying all incoming materials, utilizing computer for tracking inventory and order processing. Operating a forklift is required. As a Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Worker, you play a key role in supporting the production team by having all materials tracked and organized. You’ll work side by side with the Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Lead to keep the warehouse and orders organized. You will work safely, efficiently, and organized, helping ensure every job is tracked and in order. You’ll be joining a 24/7 flexographic printing operation that offers stability, a set schedule and competitive pay. Are you motivated by hands-on work and assisting a fast-paced production team? In this role, you will: Route outbound freight to ensure timely delivery, monitor carriers’ performance and tariff charges and determine best carriers based on cost-effective and reliable delivery. Maintain a shipping and receiving log and maintain files of shipping records. Process lost freight or shipping damage claims. Verified freight bills with accounting and resolve errors with carriers. Wrap and pack finished orders suitable for shipping. Prepare packing lists, bills of lading and other shipping documentation as necessary Assist loading and unloading of all delivery trucks. Assures compliance with workplace safety procedures. Limit access to loading docks by unauthorized individuals. Receive and inspect external packaging of all incoming shipments. Notify delivery personnel of any apparent shipping damage and proceed accordingly. Review incoming packing lists and track all shipments and receipts. Receive and processes returned goods shipments; complete and forward paperwork. Route service/repair shipments to maintenance. Receive merchandise to fill orders for non-stock items or specials orders, carefully verifying and identifying information and quantities. Receives orders by checking packing lists, comparing specifications and quantities and indicates any discrepancies, tags parts as needed, maintains records in Radius software systems. Assists in stockroom as needed. Communicate any discrepancies such as over shipments or need to make substitutions to the shift supervisor.
