About The Position

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for a direct hire 2nd shift opportunity in the greater Fort Wayne area.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
Must have manufacturing shipping and logistics experience.
Be open and flexible for off shifts
At least two years of supervisory experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Possess the energy and drive to meet deadlines, accomplish goals and find solutions.
Excellent analytical skills where output data is actionable and accurate.
Excellent problem solving and follow up skills.
Strict attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Confirms and records the receipt of shipments and prepares items for shipping and receiving.
Manage inter-departmental transport of materials
Ensures safety first operation of subordinates while demonstrating personal commitment to the safety culture.
Coordinate and execute transference plans with external partners including customers, suppliers, and transportation providers.
Understands performance analysis and operational impacts.
Communicates and creates training, gathers feedback, and recommends operational adjustments.
Works across functional lines to research and understand operational impacts and solutions that benefit the company.
Builds strong business partnerships and collaborates with customers, peers, and management.
Demonstrates logical and systematic thinking skills.
Utilizes creative methods to generate results and foster teamwork.
Strong commitment to ongoing personal development.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
