About The Position

REI Co-op is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage incoming and outgoing shipments by scanning and sorting them. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the business, involving collaboration and communication with internal and external team members. The specialist will be responsible for merchandise logistics, planning, and improvements, as well as maintaining a clean, organized, and team-ready warehouse. The position focuses on executing store shipping, receiving, and reverse logistics functions, and is suited for individuals who thrive in warehouse and shipping and receiving environments.

Requirements

• Able to transfer up to 35 pounds, as needed

Responsibilities

• Receive store inventory, transfers, vendor and internal shipments
• Process customer and product quality returns
• Direct the flow of replenishment products to the sales floor or backstock
• Perform recurring cycle counts and audits of targeted inventory
• Assist customers with questions about products, memberships, and services
• Follow REI loss prevention and safety procedures
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Additional duties as assigned
