About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Operator processes outbound shipments through UPS and FedEx, loads products into trailers, and processes pallets and boxes systematically through LIDS and other systems. The role includes weighing, measuring, labeling, packaging, and assembling boxes, as well as breaking down inbound pallets and processing receipts. The operator reviews quantity discrepancies and updates the system as needed, wraps pallets using a wrap machine, and ensures distribution attendant labels are assigned to the correct pallets. Additional duties include adding corner boards when appropriate, moving product to dock doors, meeting hourly productivity goals, maintaining the hourly performance board, and keeping the work area clean and safe in accordance with 5S. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires medium physical work and has no travel requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma equivalency or GED.
Ability to follow Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines, policies, rules, and training.
Basic math and reading comprehension aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret a manifest, packing list, and complex shipping codes.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehousing experience, including experience working in a lean manufacturing environment, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process boxes through pack size and physically assemble them.
Package products, label boxes, and tape them.
Break down inbound pallets and systematically process receipts.
Review quantity discrepancies and update the system as needed.
Wrap pallets using a wrap machine.
Ensure labels left by distribution attendants are assigned to the correct pallet.
Put corner boards on products when appropriate.
Move product to a dock door when appropriate.
Meet hourly productivity goals.
Follow and maintain the hour-by-hour board.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure 5S is followed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
