About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Operator is responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery of products. This role supports daily shipping operations by packaging goods, generating shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipment records. As well as supporting warehouse operations by assisting in receiving incoming material, counting and inventorying items, and receiving and checking the contents of packages against packing lists and manifests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to use inventory and reporting software systems.
• MS Office skills.
• Standing up to 8 hours per day with the ability to walk, touch and climb at any point throughout the day.
• Ability to walk narrow ramps and reach to adjust function.
• Ability to push, pull, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 30 lbs. regularly.
• Demonstrate a flexible, helpful, and proactive and positive approach to work and solve operational challenges.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage and maintain details within a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate effective memory skills; good hand eye coordination; dependability, ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to do basic math.
• Ability to use computer.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Forklift certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and coordinate outgoing shipments.
• Package goods for shipment.
• Generate shipping documents.
• Coordinate with carriers.
• Maintain accurate shipment records.
• Receive incoming material.

• Prepare and stage paper needed for print based on needs and schedule.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Load and unload trucks based on schedule.
• Load, chart and process recycled goods.
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Assist the work environment in a helpful and supportive manner, as requested, from any team member.
• Perform other duties assigned to support the needs of the business.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
