About The Position

We are looking to add a new role to lead shipping, receiving, and inventory control at our repack and ship-to-production facility in Mishawaka, IN. The Shipping and Receiving Manager oversees inbound and outbound operations, develops the team, and ensures materials move safely, accurately, and efficiently to meet production and customer requirements. The Manager is accountable for inventory accuracy, service performance, compliance, and material flow throughout the facility. As part of a new site launch, this role requires flexibility and hands-on leadership, including the ability to work additional hours as business needs require, adjust staffing and schedules, develop or refine work processes as customer demand, shipment volume, and the program evolve, and perform other duties as needed to support a successful launch and ongoing operations.

Requirements

Five or more years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory-control experience, including two or more years in a supervisory role
Demonstrated ability to lead employees, manage workflow, resolve inventory and shipment discrepancies, and use warehouse or enterprise systems
Willing and able to wear steel‑toed safety boots as required in the facility

Responsibilities

Lead daily inbound and outbound operations, assign work, and complete shipments safely, accurately, and on time.
Establish and enforce processes to verify incoming materials, quantities, condition, and documentation.
Ensure inbound stock is labeled, stored, and recorded according to company and customer standards.
Oversee accurate documentation for all outbound shipments.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical verification, discrepancy investigation, and timely corrective action.
Monitor system data, workload, and material availability to anticipate risks and support production.
Track performance, resolve issues, and meet safety, quality, productivity, and service expectations.
Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate employees while reinforcing clear expectations and safe work practices.
Standardize procedures and documentation, analyze trends and root causes, and lead corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary contact for internal teams, carriers, suppliers, and customers, providing timely, accurate updates.
Coordinate with production, customer service, quality, and other teams to align priorities and maintain material flow.
Set clear expectations, escalate risks promptly, and build a collaborative, accountable culture.
Manage resources and priorities, support facility start-up and growth, maintain compliance with company policies and shipping requirements, and perform other duties as assigned.
