About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing, processing, and distributing daily shipment documentation for all inbound and outbound materials and products. The inspector will verify physical counts against documentation, ensure received materials are put away in the proper location, and update the JDE system. Responsibilities also include assisting with Quality Control procedures, such as checking for required certificates and completing incoming inspection procedures. The role involves removing paperwork, entering data into JDE, marking, labeling, weighing, and packing products for storage or shipping. Additionally, the inspector will stage orders and materials for loading/shipping, sort shipments by freight line, close orders for truck shipments, perform cycle counts, and load/unload materials using a forklift as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs.
  • Ability to do other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to pass forklift certification written exam and driving demonstration.
  • Ability to obtain D.O.T. training certification for signing waste hauler manifest, shipping and receiving hazardous and non-hazardous products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 – 3 years consistent work experience in any field
  • Prior forklift certification
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE)

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, processes, and distributes daily shipment documentation for all facets of inbound and outbound materials and products.
  • Verify physical counts against documentation to assure accuracy of goods received.
  • Ensure received materials are put away in proper location and update JDE to reflect the change.
  • Assist in Quality Control procedures including checking for required certificates for received shipments and completing incoming inspection procedures specified for each material.
  • Remove paperwork from delivered materials/packages and enter data into JDE.
  • Mark, label, weigh, and pack products in preparation for storing/shipping.
  • Stage orders and materials for loading/shipping.
  • Sort shipments by freight line.
  • Close orders for truck shipments.
  • Perform cycle counts for purchased and produced materials in all inventory locations.
  • Load and unload materials and product from trucks using a forklift as needed.
