About The Position

The purpose of this position is to monitor all shipping and receiving activities at both plant and off-site warehouse’s. The main objective is to verify and record all incoming and outgoing shipments as well as prepare items for shipment.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and delivery truck.
• Inventory control procedures.
• Ability to prepare bills of lading and packing lists.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Computer input skills.
• Microsoft Windows, Word, and excel.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Compare identifying information and counts, weights or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Correctly prepare all outgoing shipments for pick-up.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving with third party shipping companies.
• Oversee all Fed-Ex, UPS, or other special mail shipments.
• Oversee and handle all incoming shipments.
• Route incoming shipments to correct storage or work areas.
