About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. The core hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $27.17 per hour. This role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post. Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order verification
  • Exemplary customer care skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English.
  • Organized and Clean

  • Can read order forms for fulfillment
  • Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion. (90 word per min preferred)
  • Must be able to work overtime with short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Performing functions within SAP
  • Communicate with customer service Via email and over the phone, to troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
  • Reviewing projects to determine quantity and type of transportation needed
  • Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc
  • Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible
  • Maintains housekeeping to keep work areas clean, safe and hazard-free comply with PPE safety standards
  • Contacts carriers to plan for shipping product for on-time deliveries.
  • Maintains shipping and delivery schedule based on the requirements of when the product must be on-site.
  • Release orders to floor associates to be picked pulled and packed.
  • Work with supervisors to understand what orders are scheduled for delivery.
  • Communicate with Logistic specialists to schedule pickups
  • Creating manifest for export documentations, for pick arrangements
  • Greet truck drivers as they arrive, process paperwork quickly and accurately, and confirm that loads are correct
  • Maintain activity logs of carriers and scheduled truckloads.
  • Verifies that the most recent load list is used, and no changes have been made.
  • Provide outside shipping team and Pullers with correct information and paperwork to properly load trucks
  • Create BOLs when trucks are finished loading, ensuring that quantities, packages, and wraps/tarps are correct
  • Research and correct any missing or incorrect inventory information as needed
  • Adhere to company policies (i.e. Attendance Policy)
  • Cross-trainable in Shipping and Receiving
