About The Position

Penske Logistics is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join an excellent team. This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, possess a pleasant and outgoing attitude, and are eager to excel in a warehouse environment. The position involves various office and administrative duties, alongside critical warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of general office experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of warehouse clerk experience preferred.
  • AS400 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various office and administrative duties, including handling accounts payable/receivable and collections, managing office supplies, maintaining databases, and generating miscellaneous reports.
  • Audit logs and trip reports, maintain files, interact with customers, and resolve driver equipment requests.
  • Participate in the safety and engineering teams as required by the location.
  • Prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility to adjust based on position requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Communicate with drivers, clamp truck operators, on-site customers, and the leadership team.
  • Utilize Outlook, Excel, and Blue Yonder daily.
  • Respond to inventory issues reported by operators on the floor.
  • Ensure system counts match physical inventory.
  • Resolve discrepancies at the location and pallet level.
  • Search for missing product in storage locations.
  • Update WMS to match physical inventory through various methods, and research/document root causes.
  • Accurately receive inventory.
  • Collaborate with checkers to ensure accurate receipt of inventory.
  • Audit inbound receipts, both physically and through documentation.
  • Perform data setup and validation.
  • Accurately input required data elements into WMS and other applications.
  • Audit existing data for inaccuracies.
  • Manage unsalable inventory to resolution.
  • Accurately identify, log, and document potential damage.
  • Accurately document information on product recalls, including physically segregating as required.
  • Ensure appropriate signage is accurately located in the distribution center.
  • Conduct process analysis and documentation.
  • Assist with daily and weekly reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of special projects and tasks.
  • Obtain certification on forklift equipment (training will be provided).
  • Undertake other projects and tasks assigned by supervision.
