About The Position

This position is based in Hebron Kentucky and the Shipping/Receiving Clerk will perform essential job functions under the direction of the Customer Service Manager to meet production and customer needs. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk assists both receiving and shipping departments with all tasks involving unpacking, staging, transporting, and packing customer parts. This will also involve verifying the accuracy of accompanied paperwork. This position is a very active job and requires attention to detail and the ability to handle fragile parts with care.

Requirements

  • Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with generating shipments and shipment documentation.
  • Must be able to multi-task and remain flexible to work in other departments when needed.
  • May be asked to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the care and treatment of customer’s inventory and will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
  • Follow all written instructions where provided, pack completed parts for shipping and unpack parts for processing.
  • Continuously perform visual inspection of parts for damages or issues that must be addressed before shipping to customer.
  • Record and sign off on all applicable process steps defined in the job folder for each shipping operation.
  • Locate all shipping containers and make appropriate and safe use of shipping and receiving materials and equipment.
  • Observe all Environmental, Health and Safety Policy requirements, including using Forklift, floor jacks, and hoist.
  • Keep work area neat and orderly at all times.
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist others as directed by Customer Service Manager.
