About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk I is responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipments for the U.S. Warehouse, including customer and supplier shipments. This role supports accurate, timely movement of materials by picking, packing, receiving, shipping, documenting shipment data, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment. This position reports to the Distribution Manager and is part of the Operations Team located in Cincinnati, Ohio and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use SAP or a similar warehouse management system, including desktop and RF scanner transactions.
  • Ability to perform warehouse physical requirements, including walking, standing, operating material handling equipment, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds; any device over this weight requires a team lift.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment that includes material handling equipment, moving forklifts, and varying noise levels.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and handling materials throughout the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with team-lift assistance required for heavier items.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekend hours as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in high-volume shipping and receiving, including international shipping and receiving.
  • Microsoft Office applications.
  • An associate degree.

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders, assemble goods, and prepare domestic and international shipments for customers and suppliers.
  • Use SAP on desktop and RF scanner devices to execute shipping, receiving, put-away, retrieval, and related warehouse transactions.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to receive, put away, retrieve, and ship products.
  • Record shipment data, including weight; complete shipping and receiving reports; and report damages or discrepancies to management for accurate record keeping.
  • Maintain sufficient stock of shipping-related supplies and keep the work area neat, orderly, and safe, including cardboard and trash removal.
  • Accurately count inventory when needed and support team initiatives, projects, and other duties as reasonably assigned.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and all outlined safety protocols in a regulated diagnostic industry environment.
