BrightFarms' fresh lettuce options, from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits, are available in more than 3,700 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest. At our greenhouse in Culpeper County, we grow more than 1 million pounds of leafy greens per year serving the Greater Washington D.C., Baltimore and Northern Virginia areas. We are currently in need of a Shipping and Receiving Associate to support our team. Job purpose / summary / objective: Oversees the warehouse and inventory and supplies product to the greenhouse as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating pallet jack and forklift highly desirable
  • Warehouse loading and/or inventory experience preferred
  • Commercial vehicle experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist Production Manager on monthly inventory counts
  • Assist Production Manager on weekly cycle counts
  • Receives weekly replenishment Sporoco truck at Greenhouse
  • Load and unload all inbound/outbound trucks at facility (including finished goods-3pl customer pickups and all paperwork needed)
  • Uses pallet jack and forklift to maneuver product safely
  • Follow all Food Safety procedures when loading/unloading finished goods in order to ensure 100% alignment
  • Maintains all storage areas in facility clean and organized. This includes dock, PPE shelves, Film Shelves and 5s storage area
  • Provides Sporoco warehouse coverage when Supervisor is out on PTO or sick
  • Daily water meter reports and water tests
  • Support all greenhouse departments when needed
