Requirements

Forklift experience is required
Shipping and/or Receiving experience
Excellent attendance
Self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work overtime and occasional holidays as required
Excellent attendance record
Ability to move shift to shift from time to time (Example: for training purposes or coverage purposes)

Responsibilities

Accurate staging of shipments as per customer requirements
Preparing shipping documentation
Loading and unloading trucks
Picking orders
Using a scan gun
Assisting in keeping the finished goods area organized and clean
Forklift driving in a fast-paced environment
Preparing and palletizing shipments according to customer requirements
Maintaining and preparing customer supplied packaging
Tracking the receipt of customer packaging and the use of expendables to meet customer demands
Ensuring the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area
Picking product for shipments in FIFO order
Ensuring staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements
Ensuring loaded shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements
Ensuring all finished goods are handled, moved and stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration
Ensuring all shortages noted while staging shipments and all shipping discrepancies are communicated to the Shipping Co-ordinator and Supervisor
