Requirements
- Forklift experience is required
- Shipping and/or Receiving experience
- Excellent attendance
- Self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Organizational skills
- Cooperation with other Logistics and Production Teams
- Ability to work overtime and occasional holidays as required
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to move shift to shift from time to time (Example: for training purposes or coverage purposes)
Responsibilities
- Accurate staging of shipments as per customer requirements
- Preparing shipping documentation
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Picking orders
- Using a scan gun
- Assisting in keeping the finished goods area organized and clean
- Forklift driving in a fast-paced environment
- Preparing and palletizing shipments according to customer requirements
- Maintaining and preparing customer supplied packaging
- Tracking the receipt of customer packaging and the use of expendables to meet customer demands
- Ensuring the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area
- Picking product for shipments in FIFO order
- Ensuring staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements
- Ensuring loaded shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements
- Ensuring all finished goods are handled, moved and stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration
- Ensuring all shortages noted while staging shipments and all shipping discrepancies are communicated to the Shipping Co-ordinator and Supervisor
