About The Position

Protenergy Natural Foods Corp., a fully integrated manufacturer of natural food and beverage products, has an immediate opening for a Shipper & Receiver position at its Richmond Hill facility. This position requires the incumbent to work 12-hour continental shifts with the flexibility to work on either day and night shifts. The environment operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with shifts from 7 am to 7:30 pm (days) or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am (nights). The shift rotation is a 2-3 pattern, meaning that in fourteen calendar days, you will work a total of seven days, with every other weekend being a long weekend.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Completion of a forklift training certificate
  • 3-5 years manufacturing related experience
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet rotation deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
  • Fluency in English both oral and written
  • Counterbalance, Bendi license
  • Must have experience with PIV equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials
  • Maintain accountability for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift
  • Inspect forklifts on a daily basis and report changes or concerns to the Production Team Leader
  • Unloading inbound shipments safely and moving product to storage locations
  • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas
  • Ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; reporting quality variances where applicable
  • Keeping appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
  • Assisting in physical inventories
  • Ensuring proper stock rotation
  • Create Bill of Lading as required
  • Inspect trailers, raw materials and finished goods for defective products and/or ingredients
  • Collaborate with external warehouses to organize product returns and inbound transfers
  • Participate in shift changeover meetings as required
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in a manner that promotes safety
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
