About The Position

We are seeking a Shipper Packer on 2nd Shift (1:00pm – 9:30pm - Monday – Friday; weekends per business need) who is responsible for staging materials, moving finished product, and loading shipments as required by customer specifications. Join our team as a Shipper Packer dedicated to our tableting operation, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring successful, accurate, and on-time shipments from our facility. This is an entry-level opportunity – we will train the right candidate on our equipment. This position has an hourly pay rate of $25.96, plus a $.50/hour shift differential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work a fixed 2nd shift schedule, plus overtime and weekends as business needs require.
  • Ability to safely wear respiratory protective equipment for extended periods while performing assigned job duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of lading and shipping paperwork, and to accurately compare lot numbers and product information.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and complete production records.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and a safety-first mindset.
  • Reliable, dependable attendance and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work safely around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, established procedures, work rules, and company standards.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a physical examination, functional capacity assessment, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of truck/trailer loading and unloading experience preferred.
  • 1 year of sit-down forklift (fork truck) experience preferred.
  • Distribution center experience loading trailers with electric pallet jacks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily tableting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by ensuring the accurate and timely movement of packaging materials and finished products.
  • Stage packaging materials and supplies – including buckets and slip sheets – for production runs.
  • Inspect products and material components for quality, accuracy, weight, and defects before delivering them to the production line.
  • Move finished product from the production line after confirming QA/QC is complete and product is in spec.
  • Shrink wrap palletized product, print and apply pallet labels, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Safely operate a sit-down fork truck to load finished product onto drop trailers, including driving into box trailers; inspect trailers for holes in the roof or floor before loading.
  • Verify bills of lading, lot numbers, product type, and weight to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Partner with the Shipping & Receiving Clerk to keep production running to plan and confirm counts through load-out.
  • Receive and store raw materials and packaging containers in designated areas.
  • Perform weekly and monthly inventory control counts on packaging containers and finished products.
  • Handle and re-stage any return shipments of finished products.
  • Complete housekeeping duties and follow all GMP and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor.
