About The Position

This Shipper II position is based onsite in Waltham, MA. The Shipper will be responsible for performing inventory activities related to Sales Order Fulfillment. The person must be highly motivated and self-driven to ensure our customers receive superior service and quality products. This position is responsible for performing all activities related to processing shipments for domestic and international customers. This position ensures our customers receive superior service and quality products. It requires the ability to multi-task with flexibility between two departments depending on the day’s workload. It requires the ability to communicate effectively and work independently, as well as the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
1-3 years experience in an order fulfillment/shipping environment.
Work under minimal supervision with the demonstrated ability to establish personal priorities, plan workload, and establish commitments for task completion.
Self-starter with the ability to see a task through to completion with the ability to identify problem areas, target them for improvement, and implement change.
Must possess the operating skills to use hand held scanners and learn to enter data in various systems as necessary.
Ability to work in a fast environment and under pressure.
Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
Accomplished lead-by-example tactical change agent with strong interpersonal skills.
Attentiveness to detail is a must.
Computer skills including all Microsoft Applications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work closely with other team members.
General knowledge of high-level shipping functions.
Ability to work independently as well as in a fast-paced team environment.
Professional, upbeat attitude, dependable, and punctual are essential.
Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Locates and picks material accurately as specified on Pick List or Work Order as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
Responsible for the timely and accurate shipment of finished goods inventory, raw materials, and subcomponents.
Manages On-Time delivery of customer orders by ensuring all items are picked on or before schedule ship date.
Takes direction from Supervisor regarding daily duties.
Works with Product Management for priority list of any backordered items.
Accurately labels and packages multiple line item orders for shipment.
Correctly picks parts from inventory.
Proactively communicates low inventory levels and materials discrepancies and other issues that may negatively impact material quality or the ability to meet operations objectives.
Ensures parts are safely packaged to prevent damage.
Ensures proper documentation is complete and test forms are printed.
Verifies part numbers and piece counts of material picked.
Focuses on Quality and Low Error Rates.
Makes decisions and utilizes available resources to meet customer requirements.
Identifies Non-Conforming Material and documents per procedure.
Adheres to all Procedures and Policies Relating to Product Quality.
Performs Miscellaneous Projects as Directed to Support Efficient Operation of department.
Communicates with supervisor any discrepancies, customer issues, or potential problems.
Works effectively with a diverse cross-functional team.
Performs Inventory transactions with handheld barcode scanners.
Maintains a clean work environment.
Removes cardboard and trash as needed (detrashing).
Maintains equipment on a daily basis in good operating condition.
Upholds safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; assists in safety training of employees; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
