About The Position

Smurfit Westrock is a sustainable packaging company focused on creating efficient and scalable paper and packaging solutions. Shipping and Receiving Clerks ship customer orders and coordinate with carriers. This role is located in Lewisburg, Tennessee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 1 year of forklift driving experience.
• At least 1 year of parcel shipping system experience, such as UPS or FedEx.
• At least 1 year of inventory management software experience.
• At least 1 year of scanning or barcoding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Intermediate math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Intermediate computer skills, including email and word processing.
• Ability to work overtime as needed; overtime may be required during busy periods.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer and before starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily shipments according to client specifications.
• Verify that received shipments match packing slips.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Complete forklift training and maintain a forklift license.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure deliveries reach the appropriate department or recipient.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
